Known in the digital art scene as Selkie, Thais Portilho is a traditional and digital art collector. She has a 22-year career in journalism, PR and public affairs, including several years of experience as an art publicist, curator and collector.

After founding the Rio Art Residency, she curated exhibitions in NYC and Rio de Janeiro, and continues on a mission to elevate artists and the digital art scene.

Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, she spent most of her adult life and career in the United Kingdom, embedded in the world of high-profile political influencing for non-profits, political campaigns and public affairs agencies. She lives in the beautiful Buckinhamshire countryside with her husband, 7-year-old daughter, and two cats.
